Lola`s Empanada`s in San Tan Valley

Delicious empanadas and Latin influenced hot dishes. Changing menu. Family-run and veteran-owned with pride. Lola and her husband are fantastic! Love this place!

I recommend the green chili chicken empanada. Also the green chili soup looked delicious.

It is so worth it the trip. The empanadas variation, or different creation are so unique and wonderful. I love to tried empanadas in all my trips, but never see, why see with Lola's empanadas. The crust of an empanada is a key factor, and is so good. The fillings are so unique, you will find always something and want more. When I visit is a little far for me.So, I eat there with friends and family. Then a make an order to take home.So I can fry, air fryer or bake. I buy at least a dozen. So I can share.

Oh boy, so delicious. Great variety of empanadas to choose from and, while I only tasted 4 of them, I'm sure they're all delicious.Super tasty crust, perfectly flakey and crispy. Will certainly return.

This is a small, easily missed place on the side of the road. I probably never would have gotten here except for the advice of a friend. I'm glad I made the effort to get there, will have to make time to do it again.When I walked in, the gal behind the counter greeted me with a smile, and asked if I'd been there before. After hearing no, she explained the menu and offered to help with any other questions I had. I tried two different types. One was shredded beef and jalapeno with cream cheese, the other ones crab rangoon. Had I been hungrier I would have also went for the Philly cheesesteak one. As it turned out, too was enough. Both were extremely tasty and reasonably priced.I'm not sure why the Salsa Lady building picture is posted. That's right next door and I took a picture so I remember it. I'm not sure how to delete it

Kind of a remote place but the ambiance is nice and tbe family that runs it is friendly. I wasn't impressed with the food, it was sort of dry and bland, but that's just me. Give it a shot for yourself as this is a local business. When I'm in the area I will try it again. The cheese and spinach empanadas were good.

This place is awesome! The staff is super friendly and the food is excellent. Portions are good sized and prices are below average. My first time here it caught me off guard with the "fast food" feel, but 1 time was all it took. These guys are great!

Really cool stuff, pork chicken and beef. Was very good. Green Chile chicken nice.Clean, really nice people, I think it's mostly family. If you're in the area or get away to try something fused well, slightly different and good. Crew went in on a dirty construction day. Welcomed us and fed us well..

Lola Empanada is the Faschizzle! We love this place! The different flavors keep me trying new ones. The FRIENDLY family atmosphere is GREAT! We can't wait until you open full dining. The older gentleman was on break so the sweet snowy haired maiden took my order.

Small place, would be easy to miss if you didn't know it was there. Awesome empanadas with new types on the menu just about every day. I'm a pretty big eater but these are more filling than i thought they looked, so 2 makes a pretty good meal. I always try to eat more, though, because they are really good.

Everything we ordered was fabulous. I had spinach feta empanada. My side was rice, beans, and murata. The pasta salad was perfect.I can't wait to go back. The flavors and portion size just have me doing a happy dance. They follow strict guidelines to prevent the virus.

Lola, this absolutely was the most enjoyable meal my husband and I have eaten! The crust of the empanadas is so flakey and melts in your mouth! Everything we have eaten there is amazing! The margaritas were excellent! We live on a very tight budget and it’s great to have a wonderful meal out! Thanks again for a wonderful experience!

We have been eating Lola's food since the beginning when she sold them out of her house. We love that its a family owned and operated restaurant. You wont be disappointed.

there is an older male here that is rude and has no customer service. the food is good but i simply wouldnt want to give my money to someone like that.. very unwelcoming.

Lola Empanada is worth the visit! The empanadas we got were delicious, the dough was flaky, they were seasoned just right and the meat was tender. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is friendly. I highly recommend Lola Empanada and will definitely be back.

Good Cuban style picadillo w/white rice and black beans. I also had an order of empanadas and fried plantains to go. The to-go order was delicious. Especially the green chile empanada and fried plantains. I definitely recommend those.

If you love empanadas, this is the place to be. I would never think of the combinations that she puts together. They are so good. The menu changes weekly, not sure if daily. Their rice, beans, and plantains combo is a great side dish as well. Great little spot!

The red empanadas were very good, the green chili were extremely salty. I purchased the nutella and cream cheese and they were like air pockets. Very little of anything was inside. I gave it 3 stars because it was good. But it's extremely expensive, it was nearly 40 dollars. So if you have the extra gas and money by all means. But you can have a nice meal somewhere else for 40 dollars, that is closer.

This place is the best kept secret in san tan! Their food is unique, different, hot to your plate and amazing every single time. The owners and people who work there are always nice. The owners mother always walks around to see how the food is. I love love the shrimp and crab dip and my bf and daughter love the green Chile chicken. Their menu is always changing so you can't get bored and need to be able to try new things every once in a while. We've never been disappointed neither will you!

The food is amazing. The only problem I have is driving home with a to-go order because it makes my car smells so good.

Grate food served fresh famley friendly prompt service. I have been there with parties of 10 several times no one has ever been disappointed. Thanks to Arizona Highways for reviewing them several years ago. I love that there menue has stable & seasonal selections. They are not afraid to run out of an item in order to keep it fresh.
